Certifying PV products for quality and compliance

Intertek has helped a leading Chinese manufacturer of high-performance photovoltaic (‘PV’) products to demonstrate quality and compliance with various market standards.
JA Solar operates production bases and sales office branches around the world. The company’s products are widely used in onshore PV power plants, as well as for industrial, commercial and residential PV systems, and by the first half of 2025 its sales and service network had expanded to 178 countries and regions.
As a long-term and trusted provider of Total Quality Assurance services to JA Solar, Intertek was chosen to carry out testing and certification for the company’s high efficiency TOPCon PV modules in 2025. Following assessment by our expert teams, the product was awarded ETL and INMETRO certification, proof of compliance with North American and Brazilian quality and safety standards respectively. As well as enabling market access, the certifications also reflect JA Solar’s innovative research and development capabilities
In addition, JA Solar’s laboratories in Shanghai and Hefei were accredited by Intertek's SATELLITE™ Program to perform onsite product testing for Intertek’s ETL and CB Scheme certification, helping to drive cost and time efficiencies.
