Getting active for good causes

Community support is one of the cornerstones of our sustainability agenda at Intertek, driven by our passionate global teams. Around the world, our colleagues engage directly in a diverse range of initiatives each year, offering their knowledge, time and energy. For some initiatives though, a little extra energy is required.
Walking for water
In Hong Kong, our team joined forces with A Drop of Life, a charity working to improve access to clean water and sanitation in Cambodia, China, Myanmar and Nepal, on its ‘Walk for Water 2025’. Alongside their families, our colleagues participated in a water-carrying walk to raise funds for the charity’s projects which deliver clean and safe water to underprivileged communities. With around 2.2 billion people lacking access to clean water globally, corporate support for these initiatives is vital.
Combatting gender inequality
Our Hong Kong team also took part in the ‘Run For Girls!’ 2025 campaign, co-organised by global children’s charity Plan International Hong Kong and women’s media brand Cosmopolitan. Joining both the corporate and the family runs, our colleagues and their families helped raise money to provide educational opportunities and safe spaces for girls in Nepal facing challenges such as poverty, violence and risks of human trafficking.
