Providing year-long support to employee-nominated charities

At our office in Brentwood, UK, the team has been running a ‘Charity of the Year’ initiative which aims to support employee-nominated causes in the local community since mid-2024. The first chosen charity was Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, which provides a safe and loving home for abused, abandoned and neglected animals.
During the year of support, our Brentwood office organised several fundraisers, including animal-themed bake sales, games days and festive events. The money raised was donated to Hopefield during a team volunteering day in July 2025, which saw our colleagues help the sanctuary prepare for its visitor season.
In addition to helping with manual tasks such as painting and vegetation management, our team got to meet Hopefield’s full time volunteers and the animals who call the sanctuary home. Inspired by the visit, some of our colleagues even expressed an interest in volunteering more regularly.
Having completed the year of support for Hopefield, our Brentwood team selected Aching Arms as its next ‘Charity of the Year’. Aching Arms supports those affected by the loss of a baby during pregnancy, at birth or soon after.
